A generational passion
for sport fishing
My grandfather settled near the beach in Manasquan, considering it the perfect place to celebrate the ocean - and to share it with his family. I grew up fishing with my father on the Linda II and Linda III. Miss Linda carries this legacy in name and in spirit and is dedicated to the joy found through shared experiences on the water.
Miss Linda is about much more than fishing for us. Shared beauty, expectation, excitement and victory have created a special camaraderie in my life. One that has built my family tradition into an extended family who deeply "get" what we represent. I am honored to share my life with people who are as compelled and excited to return to the ocean I am - forever driving out into new and rewarding experiences.
Robert Hawryluk is a tournament winning captain who started fishing with his father on the family boat and graduated to a party boat mate at eleven. He has worked on charter and commercial boats catching everything from Fluke and Bluefish to Tarpon, Goliath Grouper and Giant Tuna.
His love for the sport has driven him from monster native Brown Trout on Salmon Fly hatches on MaClean's storied Big Blackfoot to epic Steelhead/Salmon in Great Lakes tributaries, Sailfish blitzes in Isla Mujeres and Blue Marlin greyhounding across the deep near Walker's Cay.
Yet his deep and enduring passion remains spending every moment possible on the local waters he grew up with - especially with his family.
It is with this energy he created Miss Linda Sportfishing to celebrate this great sport.
